It’s beginning to sound like new Baroness is on the horizon, as the band gets ready to head into the studio this summer. Details surrounding the sludge metal band’s seventh album and follow up to 2023’s STONE have been scarce at best, but some new details have emerged thanks to guitarist Gina Gleason. While speaking with Guitar World about the band, her side project Ecliptor, and a whole buncha other stuff, Gleason admitted that the band’s been eyeing new tunes for some time. “The past year we’ve been touring the Red and Blue records. I’m a huge fan of those records, especially Blue. We’ve also been working on new music for the better part of a year and a half.
