Gargoyl, the new band featuring Revocation’s Dave Davidson and Ayahuasca’s Luke Roberts, have premiered their debut EP, Asomatous, via Revolver. You can listen below, and head over there to read an interview with Davidson about the project.
Unsurprisingly, it sounds nothing like Revocation (’cause why would Davidson just wanna do the same shit over and over again?). Instead it sounds like… gosh, I’m not even sure. Alice in Chains by way of Cynic with a dash of Mr. Bungle? That’s the best I can do.
It’ll be interesting to see how Davidson’s fan base responds to the material… hopefully they’re down for the ride.
