OMG, did you guys see the massive misprint on the cover of the new Periphery album? They put Hail Stan. Everyone knows it’s Hail Seitan. Geez! I thought this guys were supposed to be professionals!!!
Kidding aside…
The band has released “Garden in the Bones,” the second single from their forthcoming ode to men named Stanley. I know some people were actually — how is this possible?!? — disappointed by the heaviness of the first single, “Blood Eagle.” Those fans will likely appreciate “Garden” more — it’s much closer to that kind of traditional hard/melodic mix in which Periphery specialize. The takeaway, I think, is that Hail Stan is going to show a few different sides of Periphery… which is as it should be!
Periphery IV: Hail Stan comes out April 5 via the band’s own 3 Dot Recordings; pre-order here.
