Ghost Announce Fall 2019 North American Arena Tour

Ghost are now officially an arena band. Told ya so!

Following their fall 2018 tour of theaters throughout the U.S., the band just announced a North American run for fall 2019 that will see them take the jump up to the arena level. This shouldn’t come as a surprise to many, as the band’s star has been steadily rising over the years and their most recent album, Prequelle, connected in a big way, with the band’s mythology only growing greater and greater. Ghost had previously tested the roomy, airy arena waters on their fall tour with big venue dates in Los Angeles and New York.

The tour will be playing mostly smaller markets, with the average venue capacity somewhere in the 7,000 to 8,000 range, not quite the same as the big-league arenas of New York, Chicago, Dallas, Atlanta, etc. Still, the run represents a huge step up for the band, and I’d have to imagine a major market run is already in the works for 2020. Ghost will be opening for Metallica in Europe this summer.

Grunge revivalists Nothing will be along for the ride as the support act. What a cool opportunity for a most deserving band!
