WHAT THIS IS
A weekly thread meant to encourage the discussion of how you've financially supported the scene. A lot of subs have weekly or even daily discussion threads and I think this could be a great spin on the idea.
What you should be posting about
Did you buy a t-shirt this week? Show it off! Tell us where you bought it, was the process simple? Is it comfortable? Provide a link to where you bought it and some music from the band to encourage other people to support them too.
Pick up a patch? Where'd you get it, is it "official" merch or some screenpresser. Is it good quality? Did you get it at a show or online?
Go see a show? Post your shitty cellphone pics or some quality ones you found looking for a new FB profile shot. Tell us about the show, did you go with some fellow shredditors and massacre the bar or get your hair stuck in Vektor's headstock?
Buy some vinyl or a CD? Take a picture. Was the cardstock thick? Any cool posters or goodies? Did your local music store throw in some cool swag or did they just grunt at you while you gave them the grimey bills you found between your couch cushions again.
Download something on Bandcamp? Write a long winded character story about your process of clicking 1-click pay with PayPal....don't actually do that, just review the album Kaptain and give us a damn link.
There are a million other ways to support the scene, promoting, hosting shows, letting bands crash at your place, connecting bands to venues or any kind of networking for the scene. Maybe you showed the kid you were babysitting Amon Amarth and he thought they were rad about With Oden on our Side. Whatever you did to support the scene, tell us.

You're welcome to expand more into a general discussion regarding metal-based things in your life if you list your support stuff first. Maybe you heard a Running Wild song and contracted scurvy. Maybe you saw Shitfucker and got an STD everyone thought modern science had conquered.
