If members of In Flames, Decapitated and Lamb of God formed a band that crossed the two sounds and produced a ritual-themed music video, you would have Vane‘s new single “The Ritual,” their follow up to last year’s Black Vengeance full-length. Musically, it sounds like a cross between the three bands mentioned above, with tight grooves and shifting speeds.
Visually, “The Ritual” is akin to watching a short film with a band’s performance making appearances throughout, telling the story of a ritual and its unlucky subject.
