New music

I've grown up listening to rock all my life, and in the past 3 or so years, I've been delving slightly into metal, or whatever genre these bands would be called, such as Ghost, Slipknot, Gojira, and finding new songs from bands such as Ozzy Osbourne and Metallica. Now I'm not very good with terminology when it comes to genres, but I am looking for heavy and melodic songs, that aren't too far on the screaming or satanic side. For example, I like the intro to a fine day to die, but can't handle the rest. Another reference point or example if you are willing to help me out is I do like the melodic dream theater stuff, and a song by alter bridge called blackbird.
