The post is about rock concerts in closed spaces - in clubs or bars-turned-music-halls. For many years, I was a jazz listener, but in the last summer I went to an open-air rock festival and I converted to rock (progressive metal, especially). In open air, the experience is huge, the sound is so powerful. In a typical club concert, though, all I can hear is noise. The sound is awfully distorted, partly because of all the vibrations banging on the walls and interfering with the sound from the stage. My experience has been one of pain and frustration. So, am I the only one (or one of very few) who thinks that something should change? Like, for example, the musicians should try not to break the fans’ eardrums or smth? I feel like whistling in the church and I expect some backlash for questioning some fundamental truths, here, but sometimes it’s worth to try to change the world or some part of it.
