Moshing

Alright, I know I’m probably gonna catch some flack for this, but I’ll cut to the chase. I’ve only been to two concerts thus far in my life, intend on going to many more once they legalize outside, but can someone explain to me how do you mosh? Never been in a pit and it looks like a lot of fun, but I’ve always been a super apprehensive dude, and I don’t know the first thing to do when going in. Again sorry for the stupid question but it would be cool to get some kind of idea of what you do in a mosh pit? Thanks guys.
